Hughes and ISRO launch satellite internet service in India as Musk's Starlink disappears

ISRO is the space agency of India which means "Indian Space and Research Organization."

Satellite Internet provider Hughes Communications India (HCI) has partnered with ISRO.

Hughes has announced the commercial launch of India’s first high-throughput satellite (Hts) broadband service powered by the ISRO.

This is because of Elon Musk-run SpaceX abandoned its affordable internet project Starlink.

The service aims to deliver high-speed broadband across the country.

This includes the most remote areas beyond the reach of terrestrial networks.

This program will be helpful in connecting enterprise and government networks.

ISRO was established on 15th August 1969.

Dr. S. Somnath is the current secretary of department of space and chairman of ISRO.

The headquarter of ISRO is situated in Bengaluru.
